Benefits Counseling
Watch this video to learn about seeking employment and keeping your benefits
Benefits Counseling is a service provided by certified Benefits Bounselors, for individuals receiving services through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) or on a Medicaid waiver. Benefits Counselors help you evaluate and understand your benefits, and provide counseling on how income could impact your benefits to help you make informed choices about employment and pay raises. They can provide a benefits analysis and summary, and help guide choices that could impact benefits.
Benefits Counseling can help you navigate the complex balance between earning income and receiving benefits. Our staff are Community Partner Work Incentives Counselors (CPWICs), who have been expertly trained to understand the laws, requirements, and processes. They can assist you in finding the best path to sustainable income and independence without losing your benefits or security in the process.
If you need help with benefits counseling only, contact benefits@cpwd.org and we will get you connected with a Benefits Counselor.
